ORYA Sports Registration InformationUpdated Wednesday March 18, 2015 by Oak Ridge Youth Association.
Welcome to the Oak Ridge Youth Association online registration site. Please make sure to read the following entirely to help make your registration process go smoothly. All player registrations are required to be done through this online system.
All families will be required to create an account if this is the first time utilizing our online registration system. Make sure to add all players and parents into the account by clicking add player or add adult. Coaches, Directors and Administrators use this system to notify you of important information, so please make sure that ALL email and phone # contacts needed are entered into your account.
If you have a returning player(s), you will simply log into your existing account and register for the desired sport.
Once you have created an account; or logged into your existing account, you will register your player(s). Each registration will have a $7.00 online registration convenience fee added to the account. In addition, you will be asked if you are a tax paying resident of the Town of Oak Ridge. Please answer this question truthfully, as this fee is collected and then sent directly to the Town of Oak Ridge per the usage agreement to utilize the fields at the Oak Ridge Town Park. Registrants for sports that do not utilize the Town Park will not have this fee added.
Multiple player registration discounts are given per family and to receive this discount you must register your players at the same time. Once you add your first player, make sure to click the continue shopping button to register another player (and/or parent). The multi-player discount will be added at check-out.
If you wish to help coach a team, make sure that you also register yourself as a Coach or Assistant Coach for that sport. All coaches are background checked through the system and the background checks are valid for two years. You will be prompted to enter the background check information during the registration if applicable.
All Coaches and Assistant Coaches will also be required to take a quick concussion safety test. You must pass this test in order to be registered as a coach. You will be prompted to take the test as you register to coach. Nothing is more important to us than our players safety.
Payments are only accepted by credit card. Your player will not be put on a roster until the registration is paid in full or a payment arrangement is made. If you do not have a credit card or would like to explore alternate payment methods, please send an email to email@example.com.
Please pay attention to the post purchase message after registration. This message will give you important information and may require you to print additional forms required to play the sport.

Games are held on Saturdays. The games are usually at the Oak Ridge Elementary school. Games last about 60-90 minutes . Practice will be held at the Oak Ridge Elementary schools cafeteria. Practices are 2 days a week , lasting 60-90 minutes. The days for practice depends on the coaches availability. The girls will cheer for a Basketball game with in the cheer groups age range. The girls will learn the beginning basics to cheer. Some may be more advanced and will learn the next steps. Example the proper way to do jumps, hand cheer motions and cheer voice projection. They will also prepare for an end of season routine. This routine includes a two minute Cheer & Dance to preform during the basketball halftime show. This is created by the coaches & cheerleaders. If available I always try to get a North West High School cheerleader to help out each group. The cheerleaders selected to help assist coaches and receive volunteer hours have a structured criteria and expectations to follow to receive the credit hours.
